Project period: 4/2024–6/2028
Investor: Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the CR (OP JAK, Research and development)
Project coordinator: Charles University
Cooperating organizations: Masaryk University (prof. RNDr. Petr Dobrovolný, CSc., prof. RNDr. Rudolf Brázdil, DrSc., prof. RNDr. Jakub Hofman, Ph.D., Mgr. Ladislava Řezníčková, Ph.D.), Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the ASCR, v. v. i., Institute of Computer Science of the ASCR, v. v. i., Institute of Rock Structure and Mechanics of the ASCR, v. v. i., University of Ostrava, Charles University, Czech University of Agriculture Prague , Czech Geological Survey, Czech Hydrometeorological Insitute, Institute for Global Change Research ASCR .
Anotation: The main research objective of the Natural and Anthropogenic Geohazards project is to understand natural and human-caused threats and risks in the upper spheres of the planet Earth, to explain the causes of their occurrence and to quantify the possible impacts on human society and infrastructure. The result of the project is not only a fundamental understanding of the mechanisms of functioning of these processes, but also a proposal for their more perfect monitoring, possible minimization of their effects and prediction, including mitigation of their negative effects.

Ready for the future: understanding long-term resilience of the human culture (RES-HUM)
Project period: 1/2024–6/2028
Investor: Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the CR (OP JAK, Research and development)
Project coordinator: Faculty od Arts (Masaryk University)
Cooperating organizations: Faculty of Science, (Masaryk University), Central European Institute of Technology
Team member: Mgr. Lukáš Dolák, Ph.D.
Anotation: The project aims to clarify the basic principles of resilience of human society in a historical perspective using long time series and to transfer the acquired knowledge into social practice. This goal will be achieved by supporting excellent research and developing cooperation between the humanities and natural sciences, such as archaeology, art history, anthropology, genetics, geology, climatology, botany, geophysics and nuclear physics.
