Laboratory of Environmental Geography

Laboratory of Environmental Geography was founded in 2008, when the Department of Geography moved to premises in the newly renovated campus on Kotlářská Street. The laboratory is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students focusing on physical geography.

The laboratory allows students to connect their fieldwork with analytical laboratory procedures. Instrumentation can be used for a range of analyses in the fields of pedogeography, geomorphology, sedimentology, biogeography, processing samples of rocks, regolith, soils, water, and biological materials. Practical exercises from several courses taught at the Department of Geography are held in the laboratory. Students have the opportunity to perform physical and physicochemical analyses of samples for their bachelor, diploma, and doctoral theses.
