What do you learn

The global environmental change we are currently experiencing is a very complex process. It negatively affects many aspects of our daily lives. It also threatens the environment around us. Geography studies most of these aspects and our environment.

However, geography is primarily a synthetic science. Geography is able to analyze complex interrelationships in nature and in society and the current global change can also be understood as a significant disruption of these relations and feedbacks.

Our study program offers a contemporary geographical perspective on global environmental change. The program aims to emphasize that this global change is not only a threat but also an opportunity. The opportunity to find the lost balance between the functioning of nature and society on the marvelous Earth.

"Understanding the causes of the global change turns it from threat to opportunity."
