Time, rhythms and mobility
The work of the research group is focused on the investigation of the daily spatiotemporal routine, especially in the space of cities and metropolitan areas. Through the themes of time, rhythms and mobility, the classic disciplines of settlement geography, city geography or transport geography are integrated into a comprehensive framework. The subject of research interest is also the impact of various types of technology (especially mobility and communication) on the spatio-temporal organization of the daily activities of individuals and households.
As part of applied research, projects from the field of spatial, or strategic planning (analyses of spatial relationships, demographic forecasts, advanced regionalization) at city, regional and national level. Collaborating partners are usually various public administration institutions or private entities.
